Gilera - Gilera KK 125 - 125 cc - 1986

Manufactured from 1986 to 1987 by Gilera. Designed by Luciano Marabese, this version was available only with a 125cc engine size (with electric start, also). This motorcycle, equipped with mixer, it has two tanks and a carburettor. The fuel goes from the lower tank (located between the tip of the belly pan and the frame) to the upper one, from where it falls to feed the carburettor. The main tank, smaller than the Gilera KZ one, is located underneath the engine, leaving room for a storage compartment. The fuel tap is on the right. The engine is similar to the Gilera RV 125 one, but, unlike this latter, it has an exhaust valve and a resonator which are activated at 7,500 rpm on input of a centrifugal switch (a system called "Automatic Power Tuning System"). The exhaust is located under the tail, on the left side of the motorcycle, and is equipped with a silencer. The single headlight has a rectangular shape, just as the taillight. The bike is equipped with lightweight alloy rims and telescopic forks with traditional stanchions; these last have a diameter of 35 mm, and are provided with hydraulic compression adjustment on three positions. The swingarm is double-sided. Displacement: 124.3cc. Bore and stroke: 56.0 x 50.5 Single cylinder Giliardini air-cooled engine Dry weight: 118 kg Distribution: reed valve Power: 17,97 kw (24,44 hp) at 9.750 rpm Gearbox: 6-speed sequential (constant mesh) Dell’Orto 28 carburettor Maximum speed: 154,2 km/h. Lower fairing in repainted fibreglass This bike has not been in use for some time. It needs to be checked, serviced, and provided with a new battery. Documents: This vehicle has no documents for use on public roads. Before bidding, please check the vehicle registration rules in your country. Neither the seller nor Catawiki are responsible for this vehicle registration. Located in Modena - Italy. It can be shipped at buyer’s expense.
