Rare etching signed in the lower left of the plate and bottom right with pencil. The frame is in good condition. The etching is also in good condition. Something is written upper left on the back of the frame (unreadable) and the date 25-1-44. Ids Wiersma was highly appreciated, mostly in Friesland, between 1918 and 1926. He painted rural farm life. In Brantgum, his birthplace, a school is named after him and there is a statue of him. Several books have been written by him or published about him.
