The sculpture has possibly been patinated again at a later stage. Please note in particular the way the artist carried out the details. Made by Jean-Baptiste Germain (1841-1910) . The sculpture stands on a wooden base with a metal plaque with the text "Forgeron de la Paix par G.B. Germain (sculpt) Salon de 1904 ", see photos. Little is known about the Paris sculptor Jean-Baptiste Germain (1840-1910). He studied with Dumont and Gumery. Best known for his sculptures in marble and bronze. He won a medal at the World Exhibition in 1900. Size: Height: 52 cm Width: 19 cm Weight including base: 4550 grams Condition: In good general condition. Shipment: Registered with PostNL.
