No. 19712089
Mission money box - Nodding figure
This mission money box (also called a nodding negro) nods whenever a coin is inserted through the slot.
Dimensions: 32 cm x 18 cm x 11 cm.
Such a money box was seen in local stores, churches, schools, etc. during the 1950s-1960s (generally from the mid 20th century onward). The money collected was given to ‘the mission’.
This nodding figure is still in a very nice and entirely original condition (here and there a very small, inconspicuous touch-up). Nowadays, rarely seen in such a great condition!
Can also be picked up at 2400 Mol, Belgium.
