Offered, a Jaguar XJ coupe manufactured in June 1977.
Vehicle will be sold because it isn’t used much anymore.
On 25-06-2018 it underwent a new Dutch Periodic Vehicle Inspection for which the car was approved without remarks.
The vehicle is fitted with a 3.6 litre engine of a XJ40 with ditto gearbox and locking differential, allowing the car to drive very powerfully (understatement). The engine of the vehicle was overhauled (2015-2017) by a well-known Jaguar specialist.
The coupe is a future rarity (8000 units).
Exterior vehicle: the paint looks great on this car but has some scratches and a small dent in the right sill. It is a nice Unilak that’s been on the car for some time now.
Interior vehicle: Beautiful new Moto lita steering wheel. Beautiful dash from a series 3 Jaguar XJ. There is no climate control in the car, and the fan can be operated only when set in the most powerful setting. In addition, the GT front seats are a real pleasure to drive long distances, however, they only complicate getting into the back of the car. The clock in the car still ticks cheerfully, but not all gauges are functioning. And the overall impression of the interior is good, special, but the lining could use a clean up.
Engine/mechanics: engine is perfect, very powerful and very well tuned, gearbox type J-Gate with 4 speeds working perfectly. Locking differential. Tyre tread is still good, but tyres are old. New brakes all round, new blocks, discs perfect. This type of engine gets this car in 8.4 sec to 100 km/h.
The car can be viewed and picked up in Delft, the Netherlands.
