Very fine black Chinese cabinet with two drawers and two doors, as well as a shelf in the middle of the cabinet. A dent in the top left (wear). The Chinese cabinet is decorated on the front with four ladies in 3D, two of which playing a musical instrument, and two depicted on the sides, in soap stone. Around this a tree and a bird, also made of soap stone. The sides feature hand-painted flowers, blossom, branches and birds, and colourful detailed paintings. The top shows drawings in rectangular motif with decorations. The tradition of handmade lacquerware is an example of careful, detailed craftsmanship that has continued to develop over the years.
