Kilim of the Obruk nomad tribe. 19th century, from Saltet collection, favourably appraised in Hali 155, spring 2008, and exhibited in Kunsthal 2008 together with Dr. Harald Böhmer.
Purchased in Cetinkaya Artgallery, Istanbul
The kilim has not been restored, but conserved by careful fixation on linen; small pieces missing.
Measurements with linen: 450 x 134, measurements of kilim itself 372 x 94.
Natural dyes. Material: wool on wool, with the centre made of white cotton.
