LUIZ GALDINO sculpture in polychrome terracotta, in excellent condition, representing a black old man (Preto velho) - Height: 46 cm, maximum width: 18 cm, depth: 24 cm. The ceramist Luiz Galdino was born on April 8, 1958 in Alto do Moura, Caruaru, State of Pernambuco. His first work in the art of clay was in a traditional style, continuing with the style that will make Alto do Moura and its artists well-known. During his career, he received and assimilated different influences. Currently, he coordinates a production line in which several craftsmen work. He sells throughout Brazil and, in addition to more individual sculptures, also produces serial works. The Casa do Pontal museum has works of the first phase of the artist, who still works under the inspiration of the traditional regional art.
