On the occasion of the 75-year anniversary of the first official Canon camera, this replica was made in 2011.

The Hansa 1936 was Canon's first 35 mm shutter - rangefinder camera of Japan and was presented to the world in 1936. The dimensions of the working model were 136.5 mm x 69 mm x 45 mm with a weight of around 640 g. At the introduction, the standard lens was 50 mm f 3.5 and it was interchangeable. The viewfinder was a ‘box type’ designed to appear when a button on the back was pressed, a very advanced feature at that time.
This limited edition ‘Hansa 1936 miniature’ is a high-quality metal non-working, scaled-down version of the first Canon camera that was widely produced. It is a perfect gift for the photography collector, photo fanatic and enthusiastic Canon fan.
