The famous cabinetmaker Henry Dasson (died in 1896) is recorded as having worked in Paris at the 106, rue Vieille du Temple. In 1870, at his death, Dasson bought the House from the cabinetmaker Charles Winckelsen and starts to produce an impressive range of items for the Paris exhibition from 1878 to 1895. Dasson specialized in the reproduction of a wide range of furniture and works of art of great quality. In Louis XIV, XV and XVI style, often directly copying works known from these periods.
