Fiat - 600 Multipla - 1966

Presented on 14th January 1956 at the XXXIX Brussels Motor Show, it can actually be considered as one of the forerunners of the modern concept of the minivan. It was based on the Fiat 600 and it was built for up to six people. Side view with the typical openings: The 6-seater version, in addition to the front seat for two people, had four folding individual seats arranged in two rows; by folding down the seats, a fully usable loading platform of over 1.75 square metres was obtained, which could be easily accessed through the two doors, one on each side. The driver's seat, compared to the Fiat 600, was moved forward eliminating the central volume and giving the structure the appearance of a work car. It had considerable success as a taxi in the Sixties and as a small economic van. In its advertising campaigns, the manufacturer also relied heavily on the concept, which at the time was almost revolutionary, of a car that was also used for leisure, camping and various hobbies. The second series (600 D Multipla) at 767 cm³. The car was restored by the previous owner and it received mechanics service in June 2018 with all the list of works noted in the quote shown in the photos. This car was used as a taxi, or more precisely as what in the past was the rental with driver. PLEASE NOTE: Car was ‘de-registered’ in 1988 as shown on the report. It has no documents. Therefore it is sold with ACI report (Automobile Club d'Italia), regular bill of sale and, upon request, it is also possible to provide ASI technical sheet (€150). Before bidding, we advise you to check if the vehicle can be registered in your country, with these documents.
