Cretaceous (approx. 100 million years old) - Myanmar / Burma
You are bidding on selected inclusions from one of the largest collections in Germany, which consists of amber from all over the world (Baltics, Dominican Republic, Mexico and Burma) and which I am offering for auction for age-related reasons.
Authenticity, quality and rarity are guaranteed, partly suitable for museums, constituting an estimated percentage of e.g. under 1% of all finds.
Burmit is the name of a type of amber with the most inclusions.
In this small honey-coloured cabochon, the inclusion is a very rare, perfectly preserved, large down-like Dino feather, measuring 1.8 x 1.3 cm.
8 x 7 mm with keel and large bark and plant objects!
One part of the bark shows an unusual grain, reminiscent of a string of pearls.
These beautiful delicate feather rays could stem from small non-flying “dinosaur birds” like Deinonychus or Velociraptors.
The value of an inclusion stone mainly depends on its rarity, and in this case, it is less than 0.1 %.
5 photos of multi-layer shots (approx. 25 photos were stacked to a sharp image) document this museum piece.
