Member of the Alliance of painters of Ukraine, awarded as Ukrainian people's Artist and honoured artist of the USSR, was born in Tokarevo, Yaroslavl (Russia) on 24 September 1928. He studied at the College of art of Yaroslavl from 1943 to 1948 and at the Art Institute in Kiev until 1955, where his teacher was S. Grigoriev. He was active in Kiev (Ukraine), specialized in themed paintings and landscapes. The painter's personal research was focused on the representation of a perfect correspondence of the subject in the environment, with its particular characteristics and light, the harmonious union of masses and colours. The artist's talent is expressed in the ability to light up a part, a detail and develop a visual representation that enriches the inner world of who admires the painting. He started to participate in national and international exhibitions in 1951. He died in 2017. His works are exhibited in the art museums of: Kharkov, Chernigov, Dnepropetrovsk, in several other regional and national art museums of the former USSR, but also in private collections in Ukraine, Russia and abroad.
