Remington Police .38 RF A rare beautiful Remington New Model Police. An original Factory Converted 38 RF. The revolver has virtually all the original blueing, is undamaged, and has minimal user traces. The trigger guard is still almost completely silver plated! The wooden grips are in perfect condition. The 3.5 inch barrel has sharp rifling and also the 5 cylinder rooms are well-kept. The cylinder indexes perfectly and the springs give a tight action. The year of construction is somewhere around 1880. It is estimated that total of between 17000 and 25000 .36 by Remington were converted to .38 RF. The serial number is 3393, this is therefore one of the earliest copies. The revolver is optically and mechanically in top condition! A rare beautiful revolver for the advanced collector.
