Movado watch, 1950s, from the famous American watchmaker of Swiss origin, founded by Achille Ditisheim in 1881. Movado (which means 'always moving' in Esperanto). Steel case of 35 mm without the crown and screwed steel back. On the outside is stamped 'Sub Sea 28 rubis' and on the back 'FB', 'Vacuum', 'Movado Factories', and the Movado symbol (a hand holding a pocket watch) 'Fab. Suisse', n° 261, 15179. Dial originally champagne in colour with a lovely patina, dauphine-style hands, central silver-plated second hand, Movado symbol at 12 o'clock and the inscriptions 'Movado - Kingmatic', 'Suisse'. The Plexiglas is in excellent condition. New black leather strap is 19 cm long without the pin buckle. Authentic Movado Kingmatic movement, 'Swiss-made', calibre 6411, 331, 28 jewels, in excellent working condition, completely serviced by a watchmaker recently. Beautiful antique model for collectors.
