Pierre Jules Mêne (1810-1879) Dog - Bronze
An excellent and original cast bronze figure of a King Charles Spaniel standing on a tiled floor, made by Atelier Pierre Jules Mêne, measuring 17½ x 8 x h10½ cm including green serpentine marble base. This is an early work, cast during the lifetime of Mêne. Stamped to the base with artist's name.
Condition: Some small chips to the (possibly later) marble base, otherwise very good.
This lot will be carefully packaged and sent by registered and insured mail.
