Presented in March 1989, the R129 Baureihe was certainly the main attraction at the Automobile Salon in Geneva. With the automatically (0.3 sec.) foldable roll(over) bar as a world premier.
In terms of research & development, including the manufacturing of a production facility, in the late 1980s Das Haus invested 1 billion D Mark in the development and safety of the R129 Baureihe (1989-2001). Resident designer Bruno Sacco was responsible for the typical design with the plastic side panels in a slightly different colour.
The R129 Baureihe is regarded as the last ‘real’ SL, because of its soft-top. The successors had a steel folding top.
This Mercedes SL500 32V in most desirable colour combination white with a dark blue soft top! Gorgeous. This colour combination is pretty rare, especially in this state and low-mileage.
This SL comes from a collector and it is comparatively little driven. Hardly any traces and the interior even smells still new! As if this was new from the showroom! Even the ashtray is never used.
Air conditioning is ice cold and everything works as a car with this low mileage. Soft top is really just immaculate. Honestly they are very rare in such a great condition.
If required we can arrange transport at very favourable rates within and outside Europe.
