Around 1910, France
A truly magnificent heavy bronze hand mirror which is fully signed with “Jampolsky ''.
The glass has a so-called biseauté cut.
The handle is in the form of a young lady, this is probably the goddess Diana.
The mirror has a wonderful patina.
M. Jampolsky was born in Kiev in 1874 and was naturalised as a Frenchman at a young age.
He studied at Dupois, Ponscame and Raumny in Paris and exhibited among other places at the Salon de Societe des Artistes Francais.
The condition is great. The mirror has some spots, but that's normal considering the age.
The mirror is 28,5 cm long and 16.5 cm wide. It weighs around 0.670 kg.
In short, a very special object of exceptional quality.
