Wild Heerbrugg Topographic theodolite - G10 - Brass

Small size theodolite (goniometer) with serial number 2928 and inventory number 884. Probably 1960s/70s (well before 1984; end production). The G10 is one of the most compact angle measuring instruments made by Wild Heerbrugg (after T0 and T12 it’s the most compact instrument). It is actually a goniometer and no theodolite because except for a horizontal and vertical scale this also has a compass to align the whole on the magnetic north. Corners in mils expressed on the immediate left and right readable scales. Lens is carried out with distance markers (stadimeter). Instrument is optically and mechanically still quite well but is painted over and has in places missing paint and scratches in the enclosure. The serial number is also not very well readable (filled in with paint). The distinctive bell jar is missing but otherwise it’s complete including the 2 filters and enclosure for the lighting (the lighting itself is a separate accessory that is not there).
