Jaeger LeCoultre - Atmos clock - *NO RESERVE PRICE* - Brass, Gold plated
I am selling this Jaeger LeCoultre Atmos table clock that was made in the 1970's according to its serial number. This clock was made for the United States market and is simply branded LeCoultre.
"Atmos is the brand name of a mechanical torsion pendulum clock manufactured by Jaeger-LeCoultre in Switzerland which does not need to be wound manually. It gets the energy it needs to run from temperature pressure changes in the environment, and can run for years without human intervention." (Source Wikipedia)
The cosmetic state is very good, the glass is completely intact, the hands are clean and so is the movement. The Jager LeCoultre 528-8 movement is running and is keeping time accurately, it has been running in my home for weeks without interruption. The case measures approximately 21cm X 18cm X 13cm.
To preserve energy the Atmos balance moves extremely slowly which is mesmerizing to look at. Since it actually winds itself it comes very close to being a perpetuum mobile.
This auction will be started without a reserve price, please examine the photos before bidding.
The clock will be sent using signed delivery.
