Technics SL 1810 top class direct drive turntable

A very solidly built turntable in beautiful condition, for many years of carefree enjoyment. As seen in the pictures, this SL 1810 is in nice condition and completely original. There are very slight signs of wear, which is very special for a turntable of 40 years old. The dust cover is neat with light hairline cracks. This has not been polished again, but is in original condition. This is a “no nonsense” turntable for the real vinyl enthusiast. The arm is lowered onto the record manually, and the arm is manually brought back to position at the end of the record. Records turn properly. The SL 1810 direct drive manual turntable was released in 1977. In that time, these were already highly sought-after record players, like the SL 1600 (automatic) and the SL 1700 (semi-automatic). Nowadays, this is a highly sought-after player because of its simplicity and its very beautiful and uncluttered design. The SL 1810 is similar to the SL-1200 MK1 with electronic speed control and the same quick starting direct drive motor and heavy metal base. The steel sub chassis is suspended on the housing of the cast alloy by means of adjustable springs and rubber. This makes the SL 1810 very insensitive to vibration from outside. The player comes with the original Technics 270 C cartridge with new needle. This is a very reliable turntable you can enjoy for years without problems. It shows from the specifications that this is a very high quality player for the real music player.
