Very rare blue and white Nabeshima porcelain bowl on stand – Japan – Early 18th century (Edo period) Rare sara dish ("wooden bowl on stand"): Arita porcelain bowl on stand, Nabushima kiln, Japan. Very beautiful full decoration in Blue and White, representing a rock and blooming lotus branches. Bottom decorated in blue with 3 x 6 stylised balloons and ribbing on the stand. Magnificent cobalt blue skilfully diluted, reminiscent of Chinese Kangxi blue. Beginning of the EDO Period, Genroku/Shotoku eras (1688-1716). References: – similar model in the J. H.
