Everyone knows how difficult it is to find a signed and numbered Capodimonte piece by the great Italian master ceramist Gianni Merlo The artwork captures a moment in a typical Summer day of two Sicilian siblings sharing a watermelon. Bisque porcelain in perfect condition. High quality Capodimonte bisque porcelain, handmade and hand-painted by Gianni Merlo. High quality piece. The artist's ability to mould porcelain and mix colours in a totally personal way, gives life to his original and unique style. Signed by the artist. Capodimonte porcelain is made at the Royal Capodimonte Factory, founded in Naples in 1743. Capodimonte porcelain was created to emulate the famous Meissen porcelain. Height 18 cm, Length 16 cm, Width 17 cm. As shown in photos, the eyes details are very accurate and the colours of every single piece clearly recall the typical Sicilian costumes under Sicilian sun.
