Schatz Royal Mariner ship's clock - period 1960

Mechanical - 8-day movement - movement glass striking
The ship's clock strikes the so-called glasses and this is to say: The number of strokes is synchronized 
with the cycle in which there is watch. The watch on ships has a cycle of 4 hours. Before one had clocks, this was done by means of an hourglass. The hourglass could, however, only indicate half an hour. Every time that the hourglass was turned over, one hit the number of glasses on a bell. Since the guard changed every 4 hours there are 8 periods of half an hour.  
The glass striking can be disabled if desired.

The clock looks beautiful and also the facet cut glass is still beautiful. 
The movement functions well. 
Comes with a wind-up key.
