A pair of vintage Mulled wine jugs by Corning-ware with heating stands that accept standard tea/votive candles. These are stylish functional Art Deco items, framed in ornate silver-plate. Corning Glass Works have been pioneers in the use of glassware for cooking since 1913. The embossed handle clamp, stand and burner metal-work are by RAIMOND SILVER MFG CO - Chelsea, MA. This company was active in the 1960s to 1970s. The items are identical except for the details of the spout and the color of the glass receptacle which locates the tea candle in the burner. Refer to the photos for details of these differences.
The freestanding flask is 30 cm high and the overall height in the stand is 42 cm. the weight of each carafe is 737 g empty. The over weight of each unit is 1.586 kg. The carafes realistically hold 1.3 lt of liquid each.
