The saucer is in perfect condition, diameter of 12 cm, with original Christie's auction sticker.
The plate unfortunately broke during salvaging of the wreck, but has been glued. This is not clearly visible, except for a hairline crack. The diameter of the plate is 23 cm. With original Christie's auction sticker. Certificate of authenticity issued by Christie's auction house.
The shipwreck of the Geldermalsen was discovered in 1984. After 233 years, the porcelain was still intact. The tea, which had expanded due seawater exposure, had coated the porcelain with a protective layer.
