BREITLING WORLD WAR ll - US NAVY navigators Chronograph with 18 Jewels in working order and ORIGINAL condition, untouched, not restored. Chronograph starts, stops and resets well, tested for 15 minutes. Original dial is signed 'Breitling' and 'Swiss' under the top register. Dial shows discoloration, and is missing a little paint of the scale, please consider, it has been most likely used in war by the US NAVY, and not been stored in drawer. Chrome case in good condition just showing normal wear with inside of case back signed 'Breitlingwatchcorp.' 'Swiss' and 'Breitling' 'Swiss made', numbered 814606. Screw down crystal and caseback. Outer side of the case signed by US NAVY : 'Watch Navigational Stop, An part No 5742-1, ... 'Breitling Watch Corporation' 'U.S. Property'. Black dial with white Arabic numbers, outer chronograph track, white hands with minute recorder at 12 and sub seconds at 6 pm position as well as a white sweep second hand. Movement signed 'Breitling Watch Corp' adjusted to three positions with Micrometric regulator. Movement bridge also marked '18 Eighteen jewels, Swiss, 9848. Diameter of the watch is 50mm, and it has a weight of 94g. This is a fine and RARE example of a wartime chronograph ordered by the US services from one of Switzerland's premier manufacturers. It will be shipped worldwide, registered, and packed with extra care.
