Beautiful stylish bonbonnière by ROBJ, it consists of 2 parts, lid and the pot. The face with the red lipstick and blue eyes with the egg-shaped headpiece from the Art Deco period is very well-known. At the bottom the bonbonniére is signed with ROBJ Paris, Made in France. ROBJ began in 1908 when Jean Born under that name began to produce his own ceramics and porcelain. After WO1 he began to add more artistic and more decorative elements to his designs. He died in 1922, (car accident) and his shareholder Lucien Willmetz took over. Under his leadership ROBJ became really successful. The objects of ROBJ from that period are stylish, elegant and original, with an element of humour. They are almost always utensils. ROBJ designs were manufactured by big names like Sévres, Villeroy and Boch, Limoges etc. ROBJ existed until 1931.
