SARQUELLA OLIVERAS , Joan Palamós 1956 Son of the painter and watercolourist Josep Sarquella Escobet. His works denote the fluency in the handling of matter that he learned from his father, which he combines with a brilliant sense of colour and an accurate use of light effects. His works focus on the Costa Brava landscapes, captured through a firm and courageous palette. Joan Sarquella has participated in many collective exhibitions and he has held different personal exhibitions, such as the one organized in the Círculo Artístico de Palamós in 2005 or in the Sala Oxigen, in the same city in 2007. His works are renowned and very appreciated among art collectors.
