Hand-crafted in Italy, perhaps during the period of Napoleon III, the pendant shows slight signs of wear but is in good condition. There are no hallmarks of any kind. 8 kt yellow gold and 925/1000 silver, tested on touchstone. Dimensions: 40 x 18 mm.
Total weight: 4.5 grams. The 14 diamonds measure between 2 and 5 mm in diameter, colour: G/L, clarity: VVS2/P1, approx. carat weight: 0.50 ct, antique rose cut and Holland cut. The truly unique feature of this pendant is the bail, which is truly multi-functional and with multiple meanings. It has a small ring for mounting on a chain, and a larger one for a strand of pearls. It can be worn with the point of the triangle pointing either up or down, perhaps to send coded messages to people close to you. The stones have not been tested for possible physical/chemical treatments aimed at enhancing their colour or clarity. Shipped with a new box. Insured shipment with tracking. Any customs fees/duties are the responsibility of the buyer.
