Headrest in decorated wood with tribal engravings
Original wooden headrest bought in 1990 in a Karo village (one of the most representative ethnic groups in Omo Valley).
In perfect conditions, with patina of use, original and characteristic structure of this people (see pictures): asymmetrical but perfectly stable. The item comes from a single piece of wood.
The typical Karo geometric decorations are engraved and then painted in black. Lightweight (around 200 g) to be carried around, but also very sturdy. The man from whom we had the item also used it as a little stool!
Width 34 cm x 15 cm, height 14 cm.
