Bronze figurines from France, of one of the most beautiful sculptures by Auguste Rodin, Le Penseur (The Thinker) from 1881 and Baiser (the Kiss) from 1886. Each bronze figurine is 12 cm high, 6 cm wide and 7 cm deep, weight is 885 g combined. This edition was released by Editions Atlas Collections. Rodin made this famous creation in 1881. The thinker was the first work by Rodin which was publicly exhibited. On 21 April 1906 it was set up in front of the Pantheon during a fierce political and social crisis, which made the statue a socialist symbol. In 1922 the statue and its pedestal were brought over to the garden of Hôtel Biron, the current Rodin museum. Another piece can be found in the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek in Copenhagen. Another piece is found at the tomb of Rodin in Meudon.
