Adler - Adler typewriter model 7 - Iron (cast/forged)

This model has the nickname “slide trumpet” because its type-arms slide forward in contrast to other typewriters that have arms moving upward. This machine has serial number 169473 and was produced circa 1915. The American Wellington Parker Kidder sold his design patents in 1896 to Heinrich Kleyer who produced the machine under the name Adler Model 7 which was released in 1900. Kleyer AG became big by selling bicycles and this is why the factory mark of the Adler typewriters also shows a bicycle wheel in addition to the wings of an eagle. Height: 15cm, depth and width: 36 x 36 cm. The lot will be well packaged and shipped by registered and insured mail.
