Up for auction is a very collectible Fortis vintage watch- Marinemaster Supercompressor from 1972. Super Compressor is a trademarked name for patented case sealing method by the case manufacturer Ervin Piquerez S.A. (EPSA). Steel case diameter is 42 mm without the crowns. Black rubber strap with red stitches is 26 cm long including the case and the steel buckle. The wristwatch is equipped with two crowns, lower for adjusting the time and date and the upper crown for rotating the inner diver bezel. Crowns are cross-hatched in super compressor style. Automatic movement is ETA 2789-1 with a Fortis logo, working properly. Caseback boasts the EPSA Super compressor helmet logo. Case number is 3335. Inner back is stamped with the same logo and 11-72, which puts the manufacture date to November 1972. To be sent by UPS with insured shipping in a generic travel box.
