Waarschip 725 Ocean (quarter ton), year of construction: 1975 (yard ‘t Waar) A Waarschip Quarter ton is known as an extremely fast, seaworthy yacht, especially the Ocean version on offer with low buildup and deep keel. The yacht is on a winter storage trailer in a shed in Medemblik, The Netherlands. The location is paid up to 1 April 2017. The Waarschip is on a winter storage trailer and can be transported to the Marina in Andijk for launching. (the trailer is not part of this lot) Approximate size: - Length: 7.25 m - Width: 2.5 m - Draught: 1.5 m - Vertical clearance: 9.5 m - Weight: 1,200 kg - Hull material: Bruynzeel supra plywood (full mahogany, copper screwed) - Hull shape: Multi chine -Type keel: Fin keel - 4 Sleeping spaces Engine: inboard, diesel, built in 1992, Ruggerini RM 90, about 100 operating hours (engine fitted in 1992, taken out a year later and then stored for 20 years until it was fitted in the Waarschip) it has a propeller shaft with maintenance-free water-lubricated bearings and Volvo Gland, Radice 2-bladed folding propeller (newly mounted in 2012) - cooker, gas - 100Ah battery - Navigation equipment: navigation lights, compass, depth sounder, log (Raymarine), marine telephone antenna, autopilot (Autohelm), wind vane steering (1 part missing) - Rigging: aluminium mast and boom (replaced in 2012 for better use), mainsail, Genoa and High Aspect jib are recent and in very good condition. The spinnaker and ‘halfwinder’ (a type of foresail, sheeted like a normal genoa) are clearly used. The storm jib has had little use. The mainsail cover is in new condition. - Maintenance: Completely renovated in 2012 (see photos) Hull stripped back and fitted with a new structure and cockpit. New windows (flush, built-in), entry bulkheads and sliding acrylic hatch (for a light interior). Deck and structure impregnated with epoxy, the hull has had a two component primer, all painted in The IJssel Double coat two component lacquer. Underwater ship in Hempel self-sharpening antifouling (a new layer can be applied prior to launch) - VAT statement: Not necessary, the yacht is from 1975 The yacht was professionally renovated and preserved by a yacht carpenter. After renovation, the Waarschip was only in the water sporadically (2 holidays and a trip in the autumn). It has been stored in a dry shed. In very good to mint condition.
