Kinneret is the name of the sea of Galilee, also called the sea of Tiberias.
This work is by Sasha (Alexander) Okun, a Russian-Israeli artist. He was born in 1949 in St Petersburg and studied at the Academy of Art and Design there. There he also became a member of an underground art movement. Okun emigrated to Israel in 1979. He painted, wrote and taught as a senior lecturer in Jerusalem and in 1989 he was appointed Associate Professor at the Belarmine College in Kentucky, USA.
His work hangs in the Hermitage, the Albertina in Vienna and in various Israeli museums.
Okun painted the human comedy in a carnal mix of satire and endearment, and harks back to the tradition of grotesques in a post-Renaissance painting style.

Very quick despatch and delivery. Please note: some elements on this page have been translated automatically.Dear Mr Norris,
I am very sorry you are not completely satisfied. I did my best to describe the coil accurately and mentioned that parts were missing. I also wrote that I could not give information about whether it was operational, as I never tried it and bought it as an visually attractive object. The pictures showed clearly that some parts were worn and patched.
I nevertheless hope the coil will give you pleasure.
