Labelled: Giovan Paolo Maggini brescia 1647 Estimated date of manufacture is late 17th century/18th century with recent restorations. Total length: 596 mm. Body length: 357 mm. The wood is gorgeous. Golden amber varnish. Back, sides: two pieces of speckled maple!! and double binding. Soundboard: Excellent fine-grained spruce. Double binding. Double volute head scroll. Beginning of the fingerboard in bone. This instrument has an excellent resonance! No bow. No chin rest. Case: yes, antique. Many photos! The value of the lot was pre-estimated between € 18,000 and € 20,000. At first appraisal!
