The goddess Victory holding a laurel crown (symbol of victory) in her right hand and a broken chain (symbol of liberty) in her left hand in front of the 2 volcanoes Popocatépetl et Iztaccíhuatl.
"50 PESOS" is engraved to the right of the goddess, in addition to "37.5 Gr. ORO PURO" on the left. In the lower right, there is a date indication of 1821 (date of independence) and in the lower left, the year the coin was struck.
