A pair of English, Edwardian, circa 1902, Silver Plated, spirit burner, plate warmers/hot plates.
Manufactured by John Biggin & Co Ltd, of Sheffield, sold under the brand name of "APEX".
In excellent, used condition, with minimal wear or plate loss, but some minor dings.
Both have their original wicks, and both mechanisms to raise and lower the wick shrouds/dampers, to alter the flame intensity, are fully functional.
All original parts are present, as these went out of favour, many were scrapped, and are becoming harder to find, especially in such good a condition as these are.
Standing at a height of 9 1/2" (24cm) and a base diameter of 8 1/8" (20.5cm)
Weight 5Lbs 5oz (2.41Kg) per item, hence p&p cost.
