Magnificent and large sculpture from the Art Deco period, group of horses made of faïence, collectible in perfect condition. Signed Odyv for faïencerie Berlot - Mussier (Vierzon France) 1927 to 1940. Explanation of the signature Odyv, the letter O stands for Odette, Mussier’s daughter, and the letter Y for Yvonne, Bertelot’s sister. This sculpture was designed by Lemanceau, although his signature is not visible under the glaze. Charles Lemanceau was born in 1905 in Paris and died in 1980 in Trébeurden. He was a French sculptor and ceramist known particularly for his animals in sandstone, porcelain and crackled faience Art deco, who worked for this factory. The photos are part of the description.
