Rolls Royce Phantom II Continental Limousine Hooper & Co delivered to Lord Kemsley in October 1932.

Registered as historical vehicle in Spain with valid vehicle inspection (Spanish ITV) until 2022.

4-speed manual transmission.
Only 17 units produced with MS chassis (17 MS Long).
6-cylinder 7,668 cc and 121 hp engine.
2-block engine, each with 3 cylinders.
Aluminium sump.
Matching numbers.
21" spoke rims.
Semi-elliptic leaf spring suspension.
External spare wheel.

Only 17 units of MS chassis were built according to the Rolls Royce and Bentley Enthusiasts Club records. This particular unit was acquired by Sir Gomer Berry (Lord Kemsley), editor and owner of newspapers including The Daily Telegraph and the Sunday Times in the year 1932.

The exterior preserves its original colour and shape, just as described in the provided factory documents (see pictures), without a trace of rust on the body. The options of spare wheels and their supports, and the external trunk are a precise reproduction of the ones delivered at that time.

The interior is original with a combination of leather in the front and fabric in the back, following to the nobles’ demands of the time. Although there are some overall signs of wear from age, it is in overall top condition. The rear carriers are patented Hooper & Co., and the inlaid work is from the period, chosen by its first owner. Only a button has been added for the handling of the starter motor, which makes it easier to use.

The engine starts well, it moves the car eagerly and has no problems. The previous owner added an electric fuel pump for a more convenient use; the gearbox and gears change smoothly; and the brakes and steering work well. Even though we unfortunately do not have a record of the maintenance, the car seems well taken care of and loved. Its previous owner had someone take good care of it, since he bought it on 2007 until today.

The car is located in Madrid, Spain.

Transport prices are approximate, there will be a quote for each case.

In order to avoid disappointment, it is advisable to view the vehicle before bidding. To make an appointment for a visit, please contact Catawiki directly.
