By Meta Plückebaum (1876-1945), German artist and illustrator, known for her etchings of cats and other animals such as dogs.
The etching has a small tear at the top, which was restored on the back, years ago; hence the dark spot at the top of the etching.
The etching is not quite as stretched tightly in the frame, but that can be easily remedied by a connoisseur/expert.
