Leon Delderenne (Belgian) 1864-1921 was part of the Mol School. This is an overall term that is given to a number of artists or to a painting genre from the late 19th and early 20th century, wherein the theme centres around the picturesque rural corners in and around the Belgian town of Mol. The consciousness of the "school formation" was large, because the municipality organised an "international art exhibition" about the Mol School from 18 August to 3 September 1907.
