Description: Beautiful antique dry compass from Denmark and made in the 19th century. By the small size of the compass it could easily be taken in a jacket or trouser pocket by seafarers. The dry compass is in a brass body. The inside of the lid presumably in the past was completely covered with black wax to make the compass waterproof (see photos). The brass lid closes tightly on the housing of the compass. Size: Diameter: 8 cm Height: 3.5 cm Condition: The compass is in good, used condition. Shipping: Will be shipped registered.
