Hexagonal bead (called "end of the day"): 23 mm x 20 mm x 11 mm; other beads: length from 11 mm to 38 mm; diameter from 8 mm to 17 mm;
Many of the trade beads found in Africa come from Venice. Large quantities were exported to the African continent from the middle of the 14th century onwards. They were exchanged for goods: gold, oil, ivory... and slaves. It is increasingly difficult to find them there. Due to their old age, some of these beads have tiny breaks.
