Car exceptionally ‘preserved’, first paint.
It was purchased at the Opel branch in Palermo in 1954 by Mr. Randazzo Salvatore (please see photos), an entrepreneur from Palermo, who owned and used it until 1965. After his death the car passed to his son who meticulously kept it indoors protecting it from water and weathering until 2 years ago. In 2016 was bought and work was carried out on the engine that appeared to be stuck.
Currently the engine was refurbished in its parts and still running in.
New water pump.
Fuel tank rebuilt.
Car is in working condition, however brakes should be adjusted and checked.
Electrical system is in working condition but it wasn’t serviced, some bulbs need to be replaced. 6 Volts battery purchased new in September 2018.
Interior is worn only in the fabric part.
The bodywork has some rust spots, which were deliberately left unpainted so as not to affect the originality and charm that only a car with more than 60 years of age can give.
