Cornelis Bruinsma is a 20th century painter and draftsman from the province of Gelderland. He was born on 7th August, 1942 in Hattem. Oil on canvas 70 x 50 cm - with frame 83.5 x 63.5 cm. The canvas was bought for almost 500 guilders, €225,- Cornelis Bruinsma lives and works in the Achterhoek region. De Achterhoek is also called De Graafschap and is known for its medieval towns, the endless forests with beautiful hilly landscapes and the peaceful rivers. A true muse for classical painters. Cornelis Bruinsma soon developed into a versatile artist in his early years, with which he acquired the art to capture the contours of landscapes in detail.
