Black polished column mantel clock with fire-gilt bronze frames and fine chiselling. The white enamel dial is signed: 'Cardinaux a`Paris'. Including compensation pendulum. France, around 1820 Height: 43 cm. In good condition. The springs are fine and the clock runs. However, the striking mechanism is somewhat irregular. There are some small cracks in the enamel and the timepiece is a bit dusty and dirty. The woodwork has some minor damage and cracks. The legs are of a later date and the holder of the pendulum is somewhat loose. No key. Please also see the photos, which are part of the description. Lot will be sent by registered post.
