The QY 2O is an 8 track portable sequencer. In my opinion, it works just as well as a pocket orchestra as it does a pocket studio. If its keyboard is quite small and its overall size as well (no larger than a VHS video cassette), it is easy to use while travelling (on the train, on a plane, etc). With 3 modes: PATTERN, VOICE, SONG, everything is possible for the professional or non (the latter will have no trouble using the automatic tuning function that the YAMAHA ABC system is known for) musician-artist-composer-arranger.   The QY20 is a pocket tool. As indispensable as a Swiss Army knife for every creative musician.   I bring it everywhere (travelling, on stage) and it is the pride and joy of my home studio. It is not meant for exterior sounds (it is not a synth or a sampler), but to make your own compositions, accompaniments, pre-master, even master (by boosting it with other expanders via MIDI). It very cooperative and quite easy to use (excellent user’s manual).
