A beautiful bronze sculpture depicting the three graces, made by sculptor Carla Rutgers-Hendriksen (1944).

Depiction: the three graces (Aglaia, Euphrosyne, Thalia) are figures from Greek mythology. The women represent beauty, joy and happiness. This certainly is what this piece of art exudes. The figures are large and very realistically made. Check out the details in the bodies and faces of the ladies.

Dating: it was made in 2006 and comes with a book about Carla Rutgers-Hendrikse and her works.

The sculpture is signed 'Carla' and dates back to 2006. It also features the following saying no the sides:

Aglaia Euphrosyne Thalia ||| Gratiën 
Sculpture giving beauty to loved people, apple for the most pretty smile, phallus, spring flower.

Measurements: 136 x 136 x 152 cm.

Material: Bronze on natural stone pedestal.

Carla Rutgers-Hendriksen is an artist from The Hague, trained at the Koninklijke Academie voor Beelden Kunsten. Some of her works can be found in  Eindhoven, Wassenaar and The Hague. The sculptor is able like no other to portray human beings in a very realistic way

The sculpture originally wasn't designed with the bronze bunch of grapes, but with a winged phallus. The bunch of grapes was made by Carla herself though, as an alternative for the phallus. The work comes both with and without the phallus. Both can be seen in the photos.

A very unique, elegant and decorative piece of art.
